Dental x-rays are an imperative part of your child’s oral exam. These diagnostic pictures allow us to better examine your child’s teeth, bones, and soft tissues of the mouth and jaw. X-rays show cavities, hidden teeth, infections, trauma, and any indications of bone loss or damage. When x-rays are used, early decay can be diagnosed and treated. Our staff uses low-radiant forms of x-ray for your peace of mind.

During oral examinations, the dentist carefully examines each tooth and the surface of each tooth to look for cavities, gum strength, and overall dental health. This is the beginning of the dental exam and allows our dentist to form a treatment plan.

During a dental cleaning, the hygienist uses special instruments and equipment to carefully and gently remove deposits such as plaque and tartar from the teeth. Visiting the dentist or hygienist for regular cleanings can help prevent the buildup of tartar and plaque.
